My Story
I'm a Black-British designer based in London, the city of double-decker buses, red phone booths, royal guards and black cabbies. I have a background in journalism, which opened me up to explore the possibilities of digital design, storytelling and visual communication

In the winter of 2020, I was going through a quarter-life crisis as a journalism graduate who didn't want to work in that industry. After some searching, I found insight from Paul Sohn and the book "Ikigai" that helped me consider my career sweet spot based on my strengths, what I can contribute to the world, my passions, and my competencies. Additionally, a book called Ikigai, based on a Japanese proverb, led me to consider my strengths, what I can contribute to the world, my passions and my competencies.

Additionally, a book called Ikigai, based on a Japanese proverb, led me to consider my strengths, what I can contribute to the world, my passions and my competencies.
Once I gathered all of these components, I had a clear vision of the career I wanted: a role that is mentally stimulating and challenging, allows me to dissect and pick people's brains, provides room for collaborative and creative outlets, and focuses on uncovering the root of a problem and providing solutions. In short, I sought a career that combined creativity with my desire to understand people and technology.
I was drawn to UI/UX Design as it aligns with my skills and interests. My passion for understanding and conveying people's stories remains strong. Through user-centred research and design, I aspire to facilitate people's interaction with technology, which excites me!
